Building my new extension for my kitchen and garden room, I was becoming overwhelmed with the amount of design decisions for lighting, wall colour and flooring that I was being asked to make.
I was so happy once I consulted Lisa. She listened to my design brief and visited the extension throughout to project to advise and guide. She not only helped me through the decision-making process but she was a pleasure to work with. Lisa's ideas and signposts also meant I saved money on my lighting choices.
My new space is very large and she showed me examples of affordable lighting that would be both dramatic and of a suitable scale for the space. I'm so pleased with my new lights as they are beautiful during the day and stunning at night, casting patterns across the ceiling.
Another big decision was paint colour. The paint colour had to tie in three distinct zones, creating harmony and the feeling of light, whilst not being too stark. Lisa was able to advise and show me examples of colours used in similar settings to help guide the decision. The colour choice I selected was Farrow & Ball's Ammonite, on Lisa's advice, and it's perfect, making the space look cosy but still bright.
Lisa also advised on paint colour and carpet choices in my husband's study. This was separate to the extension and a dark room with little natural light. The carpet colour she advised reflects the limited natural light in the room, whilst the depth of pile makes it sumptuous and cosy; a lovely place to work.
I'm so pleased I had Lisa consulting on this project. Her eye for design has transformed the final build from an empty shell to something I love and is comfortable to live in.
I highly recommend Lisa at Olivia May Home Ltd to anyone who is struggling with design ideas or who needs help implementing their vision. I know that with her advice I saved money on lighting and potentially repainting costs if I had gone ahead with my initial choice of white.
